WACE Global Student Collaborative Projects
WACE is excited to announce the WACE Global Student Collaborative Projects’ (WGSCP) program in collaboration with Australian edtech, Practera.
The WACE Global Student Collaborative Projects initiative will connect students from up to 8 WACE Global Partners or Full Institutional members to undertake real world learning in an exclusive WACE transnational project experience.
This pilot program will be a 2-week virtual projects program where teams of students work collaboratively to solve a real challenge for a real organisation. WGSCP will focus on Shared Value projects aligned to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and create strategies for better economic and social outcomes for the communities they serve. Students from WACE partners will participate in WGSCP by working collaboratively as part of an international, interdisciplinary and inter-cultural student team and deliver a project for organisations such as the City of Sydney and the Red Cross to name a few.
Students will use the Practera platform for management of the projects. Practera is an Australian edtech company delivering experiential learning projects programs scale to Universities across Australia and the USA.
The pilot will run as an extra-curricular program facilitated by WACE and Practera in November/December 2020. Participating students will be provided with:
- a cross-cultural skills workshop
- an induction session
- 2 week facilitated virtual project program working on an organisation’s projects
- post program reflection and presentation session
