WACE 2024 Awards Recipients

WACE is delighted to announce the recipients of our WACE 2024 Awards were granted at the WACE International Research Symposium (IRS) in Trollhättan, Sweden in June 2024. Congratulations to our recipients and thank you to all those who submitted nominations. 

WACE IRS 2024 Best Paper Award:

Title of the Paper: Is WIL research aligned with the sustainable knowledge society concept? A thematic analysis of the International Journal of Work-Integrated Learning 2018 to 2023

WACE partners with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) a member of the World Bank Group

WACE is delighted to announce it is entering into a memorandum of understanding to partner with the International Finance Corporation. The IFC’s mission is to ‘advance economic development by encouraging the growth of private enterprise in developing countries’. WACE is partnering with the education division of the IFC which has the goal of developing capacity in higher education institutions especially in Latin America and Africa. This division is particularly interested in strengthening WIL and career programming in higher education institutions in these regions.

The WACE IFC partnership will focus on :

  • Information sharing
  • Benchmarking
  • Staff capacity building
  • Employer engagement
  • Institutional and student focused global

WACE looks forward to working together with the IFC in building capacity and engagement in work integrated learning.
