What is Cooperative and Work-Integrated Education?

Cooperative and Work-Integrated Education (CWIE) is a broad term created by WACE to encompass all forms of work-integrated learning, including cooperative education, internships, industry placements, international exchanges, research, clinical rotations, service learning, and community engagement. WACE supports the global CWIE community by developing programs, events, and partnerships that enhance collaboration and expand opportunities for students and professionals.
