WACE IRS Destination

The 2026 WACE International Research Symposium (IRS) will be held 15-17 April 2026 at the Auckland University of Technology (AUT) in Auckland, New Zealand.

Below you will find information on Visas, accomodation, and pre- and post conference travel suggestions.

New Zealand is a beautiful tourist destination – we encourage our WACE delegates to take advantage of this opportunity to travel New Zealand.

Visas

NZETA, Visa, and Traveller Declaration requirements:

New Zealand is a tourism destination country and generally has easy travel document requirements. About 60 countries have visa waivers in place.

Be mindful that travellers (as of date of writing) from the following countries need a visa: South Africa, Thailand, China, India, Indonesia and much of the Middle East. Please make sure you allow plenty of time for the visa approval process.
