General Description Co-op Programs
• CO-OPS: Students engage in paid co-op positions at an exciting array of companies—regionally, nationally and globally. Their experiences support and enhance their academic studies and further their career goals. Co-op is learning with purpose.
• INTERNSHIPS: Internships provide students with flexible and varied ways to gain valuable on- the-job experience related to career interests. Internships may be paid or unpaid, take place during the summer or academic year, and cover a range of time commitments. Merrimack College offers two types of internships: Academic Internships and Independent Internships.
• SERVICE-LEARNING: Real-world problem-solving is integrated into every major. Science students tutor in local K–12 classrooms. Engineering students build water systems in rural Haiti. Business students conduct financial-literacy classes and tax preparation sessions.
