Jessica Marron is currently a Global Operations Leadership Development (GOLD) associate at Johnson & Johnson in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. During her undergraduate career, she completed two co-ops with J&J. The first in supply chain demand planning for Listerine products and the second in consumer marketing with Neutrogena. Both opportunities, married with her two study abroad experiences, prepared her for challenges to come post-graduation. Jessica highly recommends all students to utilize undergrad as an opportunity to step outside of your comfort zone and test the waters; whether that’s living in a new country for a period of time, or trying out a position you never thought you’d be a part of, it will help you grow into a well-rounded and open-minded individual.   As Director of the University of Newcastle, Department of Rural Health, Jenny May AM combines a passion for clinical work with her drive to improve the health of rural Australians through advocacy and research. She has made a remarkable contribution to the health and wellbeing of regional communities, by growing the next generation of health care professionals. Building aspiration amongst rural students to train in health professions and by supporting clinical and community placements across rural areas, Jenny believes in “growing our own”. A practising GP, Jenny was Australian Rural Doctor of the Year in 2014, and received the Order of Australia in 2016.   Dr. Giordano is the Medical Safety Officer of Biomaterials and Power Tools in the Global Orthopedics Department at Johnson & Johnson Medical Safety, Medical Devices. Dr. Giordano credits her co-op experiences for pointing her in the right direction to find what she loved, the pharmaceutical industry. Her co-op jobs with ICI Pharmaceuticals Group, ChemLink, and the US Department of Agriculture as a Co-op Engineer connected her with mentors and role models. Co-op was the single most influential ingredient in her professional success and satisfaction. She says that the co-op program put her in the driver’s seat of her career and her life.   An acclaimed ESPN host for SportsCenter and Grand Slam tennis coverage, Ms. McKendry credits her co-op for honing her writing and communication skills and developing her professional style and demeanor. A student athlete, she spent her co-op working at an accounting firm, where she wrote and edited copy. In the evening, she worked at local television sports departments. The professionalism and quick, direct communication style she developed at the accounting firm helped her to stand out in the newsroom. It laid the groundwork for a quarter century of Emmy award winning success in broadcasting.   In 2005 he enrolled for National Diploma: Civil Engineering. Through Co-operative Education he was placed at a newly established company called Jedd Civils. He was later appointed as Site Technician, Site Agent, Construction Manager where he gained vast experience and in 2011 as a Contracts Manager. He was appointed on the Board of Directors for Jedd Civils. He is currently a share holder in the company and holds a position of Contracts Director (Large works). In the form of giving back, Walter has since shown a lot of passion in assisting the students from VUT with WIL yearly.   Lori is a top National Correspondent for Telemundo Network in Washington D.C. covering the White House, Capitol Hill, immigration, education, the economy, healthcare, and foreign relations. She began her career in Miami with radio and moved to television at Ch. 51, a local Telemundo Affiliate. She has covered notable events in Europe (like the fall of the Berlin wall) and has interviewed global leaders and U.S. Presidents. Montenegro has garnered numerous awards, including the Presidential Award of Visibility from the National Association of Hispanic Journalists and the coveted Ruben Salazar Award for Communications from the National Council of la Raza.
