Drexel University, located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is a private, non-sectarian coeducational university, founded in 1891. Drexel is a national, doctoral, research-based institution (Carnegie Classification RU/H) with 15 colleges and schools. Undergraduate students come from 48 states and 117 countries. There are about 16,000 undergraduates and 8,700 graduate and professional students.

General Description of WIL Programs
Currently 91% of eligible undergraduates participate in co-op, which is available in over 80 major disciplines. Annually, over 5,600 students work in full-time co-op jobs with over 1,600 employers. By providing undergraduate students with up to 18 months of professional experience before graduation, Drexel has one of the largest co-op programs in the world.
Drexel’s international co-op program provides opportunities for students to gain meaningful experience in international commerce and industry. In 2016, over 220 students participated in co-op in 46 countries.
