Baden-Wurttemberg International (BW-I): New Perspectives for Business and Science

Baden-Württemberg International (BW-I) is the competence center for the state of Baden-Württemberg for the internationalization of business and science. BW-I lends support to domestic and foreign companies, research institutes, universities, clusters and networks as well as regions and municipalities as first point of contact in all questions relating to internationalization. The organizational centering of marketing for business, science and foreign trade in one state agency is unique in Germany and a feature that clearly differentiates us from other bodies of this kind. This, of course, creates synergies, which we exploit to enhance and raise the profile of the services we offer. With our diverse programs and measures, which we develop and implement in close collaboration with business organizations and scientific institutions as well as regions and municipalities. BW-I also makes an important contribution towards the development and sustainment of Baden-Württemberg as a business location.

The headquarters of Baden-Württemberg International in the state capital of Stuttgart, we have 60 employees with comprehensive experience in foreign markets and international project management. With its own foreign office in Nanjing, BWI is also represented in the People’s Republic of China. Our China office, with a long-standing partnership between the Jiangsu province and Baden Württemberg, provides support for entrance into the Chinese market. It uses its pool of companies to offer an effective instrument that enables companies to achieve local presence as well as proximity to customers and suppliers.
